This term we're going to take a journey through the gospel of Luke - a first century AD historical document, written by a guy named Luke (funnily enough!) to a person called Theophilus, to enourage and strenghten him in his Christian faith. Luke's gospel is a wonderfully detailed, vibrant and down-to-earth account of the life of Jesus, and is a great book for anyone wanting to know more about him.
One of the great features of Luke's gospel, are the meals that Jesus eats with various people. Breaking the established table traditions of the time, Jesus continually fleshes out his message by eating with those whom the 'religious elite' of the day deemed unacceptable. And not only that, but he had some great conversation as he ate.
So why not pull up a seat, or recline at the table (as would have been the custom) with Jesus and his other dinner guests, and listen in on some of his conversations. Prepare to be challenged, shocked, and encouraged as you grapple with some of the conversation matter that Luke vividly reports for us.
